From the Survey "Eurobarometer" in spring arises that the European Union and its institutions are noticed much more positive in the public than in autumn 2006. In addition the European people have obviously more confidence in the economic condition in their country.

The Austrian Federal Economic Chamber issued in the course of the 50-years-anniversary of the EU the book "Visions for a strong Europe". 50 years after the Foundation of the european Project the EU is standing in front of important decisions. Facing the widespread skepticism even in Austria, the new issued book shall make a contribution to the reform-discussion.
